Afshan is the sole founder, Managing Director and Principal Solicitor of FDA Solicitors. Afshan has built up considerable years of experience across the spectrum in private family law, assisting clients from all walks of life whilst working in various established law firms over the years prior to forming FDA Solicitors. Afshan offers a tailored and bespoke service to her clients and has the benefit of extensive family law experience navigating sensitive matters of both a simple and complex nature.
Afshan places a strong emphasis on providing clear, pragmatic and cost-effective advice early on to ensure that her clients have a solid understanding of the issues in their matter and how best they can be resolved. She achieves this by ensuring she acquires a deep understanding of the circumstances and the aims and objectives of each individual client at the very initial stage of a matter, ensuring that her clients receive the highest standard of service. Afshan believes in building long-term relationships with her clients based on trust and mutual respect.
Afshan is experienced in all areas of Private family law covering, Divorce and Dissolution, Financial matters, Child arrangement matters, unmarried couple disputes, Financial claims for children, Prenuptial and Post nuptial agreements, Domestic abuse (covering non-molestation orders and occupation orders) and child abduction.
Notable achievements include:
- Successfully representing a client in a high net worth divorce worth £1.2 million, involving a family run business that had become matrimonalised into the parties’ marriage of 17 years and successfully securing a favourable outcome in her client’s favour.
- Successfully representing various clients involving significant and complex assets to favourable outcomes.
- Successfully achieved a fair financial settlement out of the court process in various cases with limited resources available for distribution.
- Successfully representing various clients to secure the summary return of children unlawfully abducted out of the jurisdiction.
