Our Fees

We are committed to providing a high quality and cost-effective legal service

Our fees commitment to you:

· At FDA Solicitors, we offer a high quality, cost-effective service and our fees are fully transparent.

· Prior to formally proceeding with our services, we offer a free no obligation initial 15 minutes telephone call to discuss your matter and how best we can assist.

· We understand the financial uncertainty that comes with legal costs and this is why prior to commencing any work in your matter, we will provide you with a clear and detailed cost estimate for each stage of your matter and the likely costs you are likely to face throughout your matter to assist you with budgeting.

· For our family law services charged on an hourly rate, we will invoice you monthly. Each monthly invoice will include a detailed breakdown of the work undertaken in your matter, together with the time spent on the same.

Our fees for family law services:

We offer a fixed fee service for the following work:

1. Your first Initial consultation. – This consists of a 1-hour consultation, with the option to have this either in-person or remote tailored to your convenience.

During our initial consultation, we will take the time to understand the background to your matter, provide you with Advice on your position, together with the most pragmatic way forward and all the options available to you for you to make a fully informed decision as to how you wish to proceed.  Your initial consultation is followed up with an outcome letter including our Advice summarising the contents of our initial consultation and your options within the fixed fee.

2. Uncontested Divorce

In the event that you are not eligible for legal aid, we can also consider a fixed fee for injunctive relief matters (Application for a non-molestation order and/or occupation order or defending the same as the circumstances may be) arising from Domestic Violence.

We can also consider fixed fees for nuptial agreements. Please get in touch with us to book your free initial 15 minutes telephone call on 020 7870 4868 or you can contact us by e-mail on info@fdasolicitors.co.uk.

You should know that in the event you wish to issue court proceedings, there is also a court fee attached to applications which are separate from our legal fees. These are disbursement costs associated with your matter. At the time of writing, for some of the most common applications, these are as follows.

1. Filing an application for a Divorce, nullity or civil partnership dissolution:  £612.00

2. Application for a financial order, other than by consent: £313.00

3. Application by consent for a financial order: £60.00

4. New applications under the Children Act 1989: £263.00

5. An application for an enforcement order under the Children Act 1989: £263.00

6. Application to revoke, amend, extend or take action following the breach of an existing Children Act 1989 enforcement order: £116.00

7. Application for a non-molestation order: No fee

8. Application for an occupation order: No fee

9. Application for Domestic Abuse Protection Order: No fee.

You may be eligible for a fee remission with court fees in certain circumstances. Please get in touch with us for further information.

We always welcome our clients to address any queries or concerns regarding the fees in their matter. Our commitment to you is that we will address any queries and concerns as soon as reasonably possible.
